BSE Cairns Slipways offers a full complement of marine refit and repair services. The company commenced operations in the early 1970's. Originally established to refit predominantly defence and commercial vessels, Cairns Slipways diversified during the 1980's to cater to the luxury yacht market. Cairns Slipways joined the BSE Maritime Solutions group in 2012, and together with BSE Brisbane Slipways provides multiple docking options and rapid response service to East Coast shipping operators.
The Company has enjoyed continuing success in this regard whilst maintaining its high level of service and commitment to all of its other markets. BSE Cairns Slipways operates a Quality Management System accredited to the AS/NZS ISO ISO9001:2008 standard.

BSE Maritime Solutions, trading as Brisbane Slipways Operations and BSE Cairns Slipways, provides ship repair, ship maintenance, slipways dockings, shipping safety management systems, and superyacht refit services to superyacht, barge, ferry, dredge, towage and shipping operators throughout Australia, the South Pacific and Great Barrier Reef regions from its shipyards in the Port of Brisbane (next to Forgacs shipyard and upstream from Brisbane Shiplifts, Brisbane Marine Industry Park and Viking Industries Shiplift) and also in Cairns, gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and nearby the Cairns Marlin Marina, Sailfish Quay, Norship and Tropical Reef Shipyard. Berthage in Brisbane is available at Rivergate Marina and from the Port of Brisbane Authority. The ship dockyard slipways service customers throughout tropical Queensland; from Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Airlie Beach, Hamilton Island, Whitsundays, Gladstone, Bundaberg, Urangan, Hervey Bay, Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay and the Gold Coast, and from New South Wales; Sydney Harbour, Newcastle, Port Macquarie, Yamba, Clarence River, Tweed Heads, and South Coast regions. International clients come from Pacific Island nations and cities including Noumea, New Caledonia, Port Vila, Vanuatu, Suva, Fiji, Apia, Samoa, Tonga, Guam, Papua New Guinea, Marshall Islands, and Tahiti.
